5 Favourites From The Drugstore
Of course the high end market is one of luxury and you can genuinely find some really great quality products when you do spend that little bit more. But for me personally, you really cannot go wrong with the drugstore. Drugstore makeup is not only affordable, but you can also find some really gorgeous products that work amazingly well without having to spend a fortune whilst doing so. This also means repurchasing products is also easier and doesn't come with that hefty price tag. In today's post I'm going to be sharing with you five of my favourites right now from the drugstore. Most of these I use on a daily basis and absolutely love, so I hope you will too.

First up is one of my favourite mascaras right now and yes it is from Maybelline (how did you guess?!) and one I also talked about in a recent post. You can find that here. It's the Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Angel. When I first got this, I was a bit skeptical about the brush. Compared to most mascaras I've tried, it's very thin and the bristles are a lot further apart than anything else I had ever tried. But this definitely proved me wrong because this mascara creates volumized yet separated lashes that do not clump together. It gives them curl and definition. I'm in love with the way it makes my lashes look. The Push Up Angel mascara also really helps to open up my eyes and make them appear more awake. I could not recommend this one enough!

Moving away from those lashes and edging a little further down, there's one concealer I cannot stop reaching for when it comes to brightening up my under eye area. It's the Seventeen Stay Time concealer. This product I actually hated when I first bought it a year or so ago. I actually have a post up on my blog slating it. But fast forward to now and I love it! It's one of the best brightening concealers I've tried. It creates the right amount of coverage, it's not too heavy but it's also not light either. It's just right. It's super easy to blend into the skin with minimal creasing. It's a really lovely formula and lasts a good majority of the day. If you're a pale girl and struggle to find a brightening concealer light enough for your skin tone, then I'd definitely say give the Seventeen Stay Time a go because it is a game changer. It honestly works so well.

Another one of my favourites from the drugstore is a liquid lipstick. It's one from Sleek's Matte Me range. Now whilst I'm not thrilled on the formula, it can be a little too drying for my liking. So first things first I would recommend exfoliating your lips before hand and then applying a lip balm to really avoid any dryness from the lipstick. But what I really do love about this particular shade from the Sleek Matte Me is the colour. Shabby Chic is such a gorgeous colour. It reminds me a lot of Mac's Brave which is a dusky-rose, but a lot more vibrant. It dries so quickly into a matte formula and lasts such a long time. This is probably the best liquid lipstick I've tried for staying power.

Of course I couldn't do this post without mentioning my favourite brand ever! I have two product favourites from NYX to share with you. The first being one that has had many honourable mentions on my blog but one I really cannot get enough of. The Dewy Finish Setting Spray has become an essential with my makeup routine. I love to set my makeup in place for the day with this and it really does help to add to that dewy base I always aim for. It also doesn't dry sticky or show up any wet patches on the skin. It's really a good setting spray that does the job perfectly.

And the final product that if I am correct hasn't had a mention on my blog at all is the prettiest cream blush. I'm obsessed with cream blushers at the moment. I much prefer them over powder blushers, especially during the summer as they seem to last that while longer. This blush is from NYX's rouge cream range and is in the shade Boho Chic. It's a bright yet neutral pink that looks so pretty on the cheeks. If you want to go for something quite natural and subtle but is still really pigmented, then this is a really good one to go for. The formula itself does not feel sticky at all and instead is super creamy. I find dipping my finger into the product in a circular motion, then applying it onto my cheeks and then blending out with a blush works best for application.

What's your favourite product from the drugstore?
